Justin Steinberg / General Manager
Justin has had a love for food his entire life and being in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. Learning the roots from his mother who immigrated from the United Kingdom when she was a child, Justin is a second generation chef who has learned the trades from many talented chefs where he was able to define his own style and approach to his cooking, mainly specializing in Italian and French Cuisine.

Hi, I'm Jaelin, the new Sous Chef at Merlin's Family Restaurant, and Fable Catering. As a dedicated cook, farmer, and aspiring nutritionist, I am passionate about cultivating a holistic approach to food and health. My mission is to promote healthy eating habits and sustainable farming practices, bringing the best of nature to the table. My restaurant journey began at 18 as a server, then a bartender and floor manager. My love for the industry grew in Chicago at places like Cherry Circle Room and Bavette's, and on the opening team at Trivoli Tavern. Since being back in Minnesota, I discovered my passion for cooking while training under Chef Jo Seddon and Chef Lisa Wengler on the opening team at Gia in Edina.
As sourcing ingredients became a priority, I left Gia to focus on my farm and share high-quality produce with my community. Merlin's & Fable Catering share my values and offer a welcoming, supportive team.
